Sleep Apnea question for recent hires

    Just wanted to know what the current process is for sleep studies that are recommended by Concerta prior to orientation? Any information regarding schneider's sleep apnea process.

    Med card is good for 2yrs. Will contact recruiter tomorrow was just a question that popped into my head while browsing the forum.

    Read that quite a bit on here. That's why I decided to ask because I'm 5'11 265lbs with a 18in the neck so I expect to be sent for a sleep study. Just curious because my insurance will not pay for machine unless my pcm does the referral which is going to be a pain to schedule.

    Theres another Schneider tread on here I cant find it..look for it. I have a 23 neck 6'2 all of 375 and have had a sleep machine for 25 years 2 year med card all the time. In fact when I was a USCG 100 ton Master ever 6 months I saw the USCG Dr...he just always said for me to go visit a 3rd world county and I would loose weight...go figure...

    If SNI sends you its on their dime. Plus they provide a loaner machine if needed til insurance kicks in. Everything from the machine to supplies is paid for by insurance . No out of pocket. One of the great things about this company.

    With a 2 yr card. I wouldnt sweat it. If you are concerned you have apnea , consult your doctor first.
