i have bought 1999 cottrell 5309 trailer from friend it was sitting in the yard over 3 months and after gave truck info to the parts supplier they send us the package and we have installed pto and pump on the truck on the first operation on the yard it started the blew the hoses almost 18 quick connections a have used
i have few questions i hope somebody can help me
1-is normal in that shape and age trailer to blew that many hoses
2-is pto and pump might be different for car hauler from regular dump trucks
what are things i need to be careful with from door to door deliveries
    thanks

What model PTO, what model tractor, how much rpm are you giving it when it pops?

its 2005 volvo 13 speed trans. munchie pto and pump 700 rpm supplier said its pushing 2000 psi and 6 gpm with current config.
pto model no TG8SU6807A1KX PUMP PK10802BP88 MUNCHIE BRAND
ON 1999 COTTRELL 5309 REQUIRED PSI WAS1850 AND 6 GPM
when we first hook up i watched gauges next to the handlers and pushed 2800 psi then we have made an adjustment on pressure valve next to the handlers and dropped that to 1800 and blown less hoses (dropped 8 blown hose in one hour to 2-3 in one hour)
some friend running way too older trail;ers but they never experience such a problem either on their stingers on high mount trailer and someone said some pump and pto s are not suitable for car hauler but if its blowing according to spec than what is the problem
this the question i m trying to find answer
    thanks

I thought I could answer this but it's above my paygrade.

My only thought/suggestion is rotted rubber in the hoses? You mentioned it sat for a while.
