Anyone know anything good or bad about Taylor Express in Hope Mills, NC?
I have been off the road for quite some time and been running local. Got pre-hired with Taylor Express now. I know they have a dry van and carbon black divisions. They are offering me decent money and I am pretty sure I am going to take the job. Thanks all....

Did you go to work for taylor and if so how did it work out for you ? I am thinking of going to work for them. Thanks.

Hey Warchild357
Yes, I did go to work for them, and I am still with them. I had a tough time getting back on the road because I had taken a few years off, and almost every where I went, companies wanted either a refresher or actually go back thru school. Taylor is self insured and gave me a shot. I'm happy. Not overjoyed or anything like that. They all have some good and bad points, but Taylor's dispatchers are pretty dam good guys and I'm home every weekend. If I want to run harder, they will get me the loads, so I have to say, its not the worst place I have ever worked. They just bought a new fleet of trucks. Run at 67mph. All in all, I'd give them an A or at least a strong B+. They have a van division and a carbon black division. I'm in Carbon Black Division. I have 9 years to go to age 65. I think I'll be here on that day. Check them out http://taylorexpressinc.com, if you do an app, put my truck number on it 936. They pay a little bonus for recruiting. I'll hook ya up.

I look there too but they told me I had to wait until sept for non smoking trainer. How do you like it so far
-
It's going good. I'll start my 3rd week of training on Monday. They run a lot of northeast and the Midwest as well but most freight is northeast. This week will b a short week because my trainer has a couple of scheduled days off but the following I hope we can get a run out west. After they see that you can drive and back as well as handle the Qualcomm then u start a team operation. So your training check is based off of mileage and not a set amount per week.

Did they mention the smoke thing to you?
-
They asked me did I want a smoker or non smoker. I said non smoker. The first day my trainer asked if I smoked and I said no. Well he is a smoker but out of respect to me he doesn't smoke in the truck
