What gear should you be in so you don't have to shift in your turn from a stop light?

It turns out what happened was the driver turned right on a red light when it was safe to do so then traffic started to turn into the intersection across from him and had to stop because he impeded them, had nothing to do with gears. Best thing to do is wait for a green in that situation on the drive test. That's all.

If I'm empty I usually start in 4th or 5th it depends how tight the turn is. Of course loaded is a different story but the drive test you will be empty so ya. I don't think Walmart evaluates whether you shift through your turn or not anyway. I don't know, maybe someone else does?

    Hiya, Folks --

Been AWOL for awhile (sorry about that) ...

Brian is sending up a request for info, please ... he says that many areas have already instituted this new "Optimizer" within their Dispatch systems -- his DC begins using it tomorrow. We are wondering what you guys and gals think about this new doohickey?

    Thanks In Advance!!! (HUGzzz)

Hey lady !!! Optimizer is not on at Buckeye yet. It sounds interesting. If nothing else, the guys may end up seeing some new countryside. I guess we will all see.

On a side note, as of Monday, Rick has his own truck and as of today he also got his regular 6/2 shift. We are so happy. To get both the truck he wanted (it is a 2012 Freightliner), and the shift he wanted, in one week is awesome. There will be some celebrating happening when he gets home. :D
