You pull the brass collar out..fish out old oring, install new oring..then reinstall brass collar and finally reinstall your air hose

I looked into those fittings before, it appeared they sealed by a tapered like brass invert that went inside the airline. I didn't see any o ring

Pull your airline out, then grab that taperedbrass invert out with pliers... tthen use a pic inside to remove oring.

Note.. I'm not a volvo mechanic, but that is how it worked on my 2006 780

Don't use pliers. You should be able to pull it with your fingers. Just twist and pull.

There's no need for a special tool to remove the air line from quick connect fittings. Just an adjustable wrench and some slip joint flat teeth pliers. You can also get the rubber covers that go over the teeth to protect what ever you're grabbing (or just wrap electrical tape around them).

Adjust the wrench to the width of the hose and slid it down up against the fitting. Then take grab the hose with pliers right by the wrench and push in towards the fitting. Then use the wrench as to pry the hose out. The wrench pushes down the line lock while pushing the hose out with little effort.

Sometimes specialty tools are needed for things...but this can be done with basic hand tools. And will work for any size line.

Taking the airline part out is easy, what your saying is slide an o ring onto the brass part the airline goes over then shove the line back on?

Here's a video i found. I wouldn't use side dikes like he does to pull them out, but the videos gets the steps through

I just use a standard oring that matches dimensions as the one I'm replacing.

The only time you need special or orings is for chemical resistance so the rubber doesn't deteriorate due to the exposure (fuel, ac, etc). These are just making an air tight seal.
