See at least 3 DOT #'s associated with UB trucking's based in CA. Only 1 has a valid CA motor carrier permit and it is based in Tracy, CA (right by Westly)

It is a brand new authority (April 2015) and lists 1 truck. Its phone number for dot has a 209 area code (norcal).

That website had a 323 phone # (los angeles -- where a UB trucking with a differrnt DOT was based) and a 206 fax number (Seattle).

At best it is a guy in his basement pretending to be bigger than he is. At worst, it is a chameleon carrier.

Those rates aren't very good. Especially if they're getting a cut on top of it!!

$3,000 - $4,000 per week is only 1,500 - 2,000 miles at those rates. That's a lot of sitting, or a lot of short trips. Like the responses say, there's more to the picture. Are those the gross rates from the shipper, whose trailer, and how much, with or without FSC, who's paying the deadhead miles, is it all city driving, more?

There are no completely honest, or forthcoming recruiters. They all, and I really mean all, paint the rosiest picture possible to entice people to help them make money. I don't see that as a problem, since the one true purpose of business is to make money, from me to everyone else out there. So, that's OK. But in America, it means "let the buyer beware," and there's nowhere being cautious and getting information is more important than in the truck transportation business. That I know of.
