cpap percentages

Not the answer you want, but I avoid that problem by wearing the mask every night.

You need to wear the mask at least 4 hours a night for it to count for you. 70% of 90 days is 63 days, so you actually had 27 days you didn't wear your mask for at least 4 hours in that 90 day period. The 6 days in the hospital you could have worn the machine unless there was a medical reason for you not to do so.

I think all you can do is wear the mask every day for at least 4 hours until you are at 70% compliance. Once you reach 63 days of wearing your mask in a 90 day period you can go back to the doc....you might reach that in 10 or 20 days, but you have to have 63 days in a 90 day period to be 70% compliant. You need to know exactly what day you will be 70% compliant!!!
You need to track the days.....you should be able to predict the date you will be compliant.

I don't see any other alternative for you...without seeing your report I cannot tell when you will be compliant.

 

What were you in the hospital for? If you can share that info.

 

The problem is that this will not help the op. He has to use his cpap machine. Any other devices will not satisfy the regulations, based on his diagnosis. It does not matter what his co2 exchange rate is, as that is not something the regs recognize. His bp, heart rate, respiration rate, etc. none of that matters.....those do nothing to mitigate his failure to use his bipap machine according to the regs.

 

I added the post, To be used as adjunct with diet & exercise, Frolovs device is to strengthen getting off the CPAP machine; Having your heart push out carbon dioxide can be strengthened. (from what I've read, this area- CO2 removal isnt focused on enuff.) Recall, its CO2 that makes you fall asleep at the wheel.

 

I would not go down that road unless my physician advised it. I am going in for a Wakefulness test in 2 weeks and will ask about this therapy. The Wakefulness test is used to see how effective the bipap therapy is.

 

Specifically ask two question:

1), is strengthening the removal of CO2 possible &
2), How will it affect the CPAP user by increasing CO2 removal.

...ask those ques before focusing on the Frolov device.
