I am interested in hearing L/O's share ONLY their success stories with how and why their leasing experiences are good. What was your background, experience in trucking prior to leasing? What are your goals for leasing? Is leasing a business model that can be used indefinitely? Are there benefits to always rolling over to a new lease or is becoming O/O the only viable end goal (and why?) Please do NOT make lease bashing posts in this thread, I can find those everywhere here. Reason I ask is I have an acquaintance who's been leasing (team lease) for almost 5 years, makes very good money and is out 3 weeks then at home 1 week on a consistent basis.
ALSO, what terms are best to look for in a lease and which terms should be avoided?
If you DONT have a lease success story to share PLEASE DONT POST ON THIS THREAD!

Heh. It's already longer than I'd thought....LOL -
IMO truck leases work like crooked car salesmen! They lease a nice new car to some poor shmuck who only makes 1200 a month. Meanwhile the car payment is 700 plus insurance. 3 months to a yr goes by the working man can't pay the payment so it gets repoed and the process starts all over again with some other naive unsuspecting man or woman. The process keeps repeating itself
truckon Thanks this. -
Bet there are tons of success stories from the carriers that have the uniformed and less than business savvy pay off those company trucks and then resell them after the lessee goes broke
