Get yourself 3 of those silver window shades 2 of the big one and car size one wrap from passengers side around to drivers use the car size for tho is side it makes it easier to get in an out.
This wil make a dramatic difference in temperature.
While on a long break your going to have to idle to keep it charged up. Once it dies it will take a full 10 hours of idle to charge fully.
I usually idel 1- 2 hours at time to keep it charged after about 4 hours of use. The big thing is you want to make sure it's fully charged before you go to bed.
Also try setting your temp a few degrees lower, the hotter you let the interior get the more it will run. In theory by allowing all that plastic inside to get hot it continues to generate heat which is why no matter what I make sure I chill down the interior with the truck before bedtime.
By the way it has its own freon system and there is only certain places you can have them worked on look on there map on the ldelfree website. I have looked lately but if I remember correctly there is only a couple freightliner shops that will touch's. Oh and remember anything thing you use the plugs for (inverter) will reduce run time.
Obviously first when you get up crank up the truck.

Also hopefully your not using your top bunk for to much storage cause if you flip it up it will also make a big difference.
Those two vents, I keep one bearly open and facing down the other one turned towards the back wall. By keep the other one nearly closed it will create a stronger flow out of the other this also seems to help a great deal.
I have a black truck an have experimented a lot you'll need to too

12v outlets throughout the truck , totslly run on idlefree when active? Or are there a group that remain on truck main batteries? Think there are like 3 or 4 circuits that cover all outlets.

Owners manuel has the fuse postions and number of outlets on each. OC shops should have the grouping postion relative to each circuit.

If possible I would use truck system for cpap to reserve all possible power to cooling.

I came to the same conclusion and last night I spent the night an hour outside of Laredo and woke up and everything still had juice.

Anyone see a problem hooking a 1500 watt inverter up on the truck system so everything doesn't run on the idlefree inverter or am I an idiot?

I see no issues as long as it's done correctly.

I am hooking my 1500 up this weekend. I tried plugging my Keurig into the Idle Free system and it shuts everything off.

    RStewart Thanks this.
