Living off your own fat???? What do you think bacon is mostly made up of???? Sugar doesn't make you fat, but it does make you crave more foods that are fattening. White bread breaks down into sugars in our bodies. I am not a fan of the Atkins diet, and I think that vegetables are necessary due to the vitamins, minerals, and fiber we get from them. Each person's body is different on what diet will work for them. I eat a lot of salmon and turkey, very little beef and won't touch pork. Love my veggies.

That is a lot of weight to lose in a short amount of time. Good for you and I hope that you are feeling better because of it. Glad to hear that you are taking multivitamins because the body needs them since you are only eating meat. Did you have a wakeup call or a scare that made you decide to go this diet route?

I've known a few that stick to a vegetable diet and lose weight, no meat of any kind.. it worked them.. We have a gluten free diet too, I have known some that gain on bread.

A few years back I had a website for ebooks. The Atkins diet was on the list,
I was surprised at how popular it was.
I'm still surprised -
I was thinking about going OTR and flatbedding after being off the road for 11 years. Being that heavy is just too hard to drag chains and tarp. As it worked out, I could not find a flatbed company to hire me. I did get on with Swift to haul van OTR. Yeah, I know all the horror stories about Swift. But I am essentially starting over, and will have to pay some "dues" for a while.
The other issue is that there are so many #### things I cannot control in about my life, unless I suppose I win the lottery. It is kind of a eff you to everything, kind of a "######, I am going to control something.Dreamboat Thanks this. -
I am not currently a driver, but I keep my CDL and medical card current. I will not give that up for the world. So I have pretty much always ate alright, but I had a tooth pulled recently and had high blood pressure(they took my BP before they pulled the tooth). It wasn't extreme, but it was enough for me to decide to change a few things in my diet and with my lifestyle. I don't need to lose weight, but I needed to drop some unhealthy habits. That is why I also dropped sugar, bread, salt, and coffee. Now I drink cinnamon tea, water, or smoothies(no sweeteners added). I bought some stevia and have used it on occasion. I can only use about 4 packs a day or I get a rash.
