Looks like 460 over gross..
As mentioned Double check weights at a cat scale or a certified with a scale ticket.. I double check 99.9 percent of the time. .. can you go back to the shipper ? -
460 over gross. I've never been OTR so I have no idea what kind of flexibility you might have in different areas. I have heard (it was on the internet, so it's true) that a lot of scales are much more inclined to overlook a little bit of overweight on an axle if the gross isn't over, but that most are less likely to overlook any amount over gross.

Talk to company as mine if I can show scales on any certified scale they will cover it(unless I added fuel) but without proof it's all me.
I trust most site scales to be within 1000 lbs but if I scale out on site and over 79k I go to a CAT scale.
Now I have burned on that on site scale 1000 lbs leeway before scaled 78800 and VA got me at 81200 without fueling. But it was not certified. So it was on me. -
Was this a preload? Because you should know how much weight\ volume you hold

I have paid the ticket and moved on. We have the same issue often times with a hopper. They are a little more relaxed because grains have a grace amount of about 5% - 10%.

I don't know why you guys waste your time or money going through scales

I don't but we do get pulled over by the rovers and they whip out the portable axles scales. What can you do about that? Just roll of the dice, only happens about once or twice a year.truckon Thanks this.

If you go to this cust a lot tell them their scale needs to be recalibrated.I don't think there is anything you can do about the ticket unless you can get your company to call the cust and see if they'll pay for half the fine.

Know your truck. I have a small chart for my truck showing steer vs drive at various fuel lvls. I see a significant mismatch from that chart I know something is up. I dont even trust Cat scales that much.
