Personally, I also do not feel Walmart Transportation is strict at all when you look at the things they will not tolerate, such as texting while driving, driving reckless, violating hours of service rules, urinating in public, harassing other people, etc. These are all things that as professional drivers working here should not be doing in the first place! This is why to me I do not view these things as being overly strict. The level of decorum is much higher here. I feel the atmosphere here is more relaxed because the level of safety the company preaches is real, whereas other carriers I worked for in the past, safety only mattered when it was convenient. The exceptional safety ratings of Walmart Transportation is due to the fact that drivers, managers, mechanics and others all stay on the same page all the time. When myself and others often say you have to work here to really understand why it is different here rings true every day. Having an expectation of being a professional does not translate into the company being strict to me, especially when the company treats us as professionals!![]()
Walmart here I come!

Ok since walmArt told my husband on the first interview (August) to reapply in 2017, the next day he took the other job offer hauling mail again (of course bills needed to be paid and we are expecting) and a week or two after they called him for a roadtrip 2nd interview( Sept) in woodland.
My question is how long would be the typical hiring process in woodland? He has clean backgrounds etc..
Would they frown upon him if he turn it down? The company that just hired him gave him a good hometime and pay is decent still. He will still go to the walmart road test for experience whether he gets accepted or not.
Does walmart red flag you for failing the test and can you reapply again.? Thank you, the answer might sound obvious but at this point we want some personal experience/assurance.
Thanks again for taking time to read/respond -
I ment make sure you put in the correct ETD not edp. That would be estimated time of dispatch . -
Congratulations driver!
