    ive done some searches on here but really couldn't find the answer I'm looking for. I'm asking the isx owners how good is this motor? I'm considering checking out a truck that has one. Mileage is 1.4mil on the ad but no further info. I haven't called yet. These are pre emission right?

    Will still have an EGR. Mine is a good motor but I've spent alot on it. Intermittently runs rough, fuel system is very sensitive so I use additives, don't get as good of mileage as competitors but has good horsepower where kitties seem to have better torque

    So safe to say a 12.7L Detroit may be a better than an older ISX?

    Been reading up on a 500hp. Seems like solid motors with good mpg's...and ok to work on

    An 02 year model ISX does not have egr on it.I have one in a 03 year model KW.
