Hi, I worked straight out of school for 6 months and had to take some time away. I'm wondering if that makes it hard to get a job again. I'd like to probably just go back to the same outfit. Do you think there'd be a problem getting back on with them?

In the 6 months I was with them I had no accidents, no late appointments and got no tickets.

But I'm a little worried that they'll look at my time away and not want me back.

probably will depend on the outfit... and you may at least have to attend a refresher course... Only one way to find out, you know.

did you take a job anywhere after you left them?

if not just say you have been unemployed for this time for personal reasons.

They may make you take a refresher course or run with a trainer
But that wouldn't be that terrible?!?!?!?!?!

A lot of this may depend on why you were out of work for 8 months. If you were in jail, or a mental hospital it might be just a tad worse than if you took time off to take care of your sick/dying relative???

If you tried your own business and were not able to make a go of it. . .

If you were just out hitchhiking around the country. . .

If you were on some sort of a mission for your church. . .

It really depends on what you were doing.

    Good luck.

I took two years off of driving after quitting driving for SNI. I only had one year experience at the time. I went to CR England and got hired right away. I'm not sure if this was a good thing or not. But, I was able to use them as a stepping stone which helped me get another driving job, then another and another and another and so on and so forth...
