also a few mm larger injection pumps. had one in a 93 379 pete got 6 to 7 mpg with it 15 spd and 3.70 rears very strong engine to turn up the fuel and torque screws on, non electronic that is.

The C model uses a heavier rod and wider bearing, the main bearings were not changed, a C crank will fit in a B block.
Also the only major difference in injection pump is the style of barrel and plunger that was used, C models used a dual scroll style that offer 2800psi output versus the single scroll style that only pushed 2200psi, cat never made a larger barrel and plunger, just a different style. -
try putting a c plunger in a b barrel.

Again, the style change accounts for all of that, but by cats specs all barrels and plungers for the B/C models are considered to be 11mm.

Some Cs were PEECs and some were not. Seems like when the Es came out the PEECs were history and Cs were purely mechanical again.
My '96 mechanical C 425 hp would whomp the 550hp Es 10 years ago but not today because guys like Kurt are around and also I can't afford to keep the hot nozzles in it. -
I was looking at a '93 T600 with what I thought is a 3406e. Mostly due to the ECM bolted to the engine. Looks similar to the one in the '04 379 that I'm currently driving.

I'm looking into getting 359 15 over means you split the top 5 gears keep getting mix answers.

I think that was the PEEC setup. I heard it was common in the Ford trucks more than anything.

No splitting on a 15 direct or over. A 15 over reverses the last 2 holes so you do a horseshoe swing with the stick between 3/4 and 8/9 in high range. Top gear is towards the dash. Basically its a 10 speed with 5 more in deep reduction. Due to overlapping ratios if you started at the lowest gear possible and worked your way up, you only have 12 useable ratios.Jmlviper213 Thanks this.
