little comedy I hade to post. You know you're a trucker if after 3 weeks on the road, you're lying in bed with your wife, and she whispers, "I ain't got no panties on". And you say, " Shut up stupid"!

Well had the pleasure of spending the evening at home, my delivery took me thru the house again..
This is a short week at Bruenger due to the Holiday.. This week ends on a Thursday.. Have to make it from Ft. Riley to New Berlin, WI to drop and P/U at Darien, WI and down to Kansas City by 0400 on Thursday to Nestle.. Don't know how that is going to work, but we shall see.. Lol
Hope everyone is turning and burning and making the mola.. -
So I have been asked some questions and have the answer to them..
Q: does Bruenger have company drivers?
A: Yes we still have company positions..
Q: Do I have to get a Volvo if I want a new truck?
A: I spoke to Parker the new operations manager and he states that if you apply to Roadrunner as an L/P driver and are approved for a Volvo then you would also be approved with TEL for a Freightligher, Volvo or Kenworth..
Hope this helps.. -
Must be moving on up.. Was invited by the new operations manager to sit in on company confrance calls.. Feel honored..
Parker seems like a genuinely nice guy. He said he worked for Tranzam for a few years and also Cargil.. Nice rounded experience to have..
Told me if I ever hav any issues or find myself sitting, to just call him and he would do his best to help..
Nice to be updated on who took Aaron's spot and get to speak to him for about 20min..
Sounds like we have a lot of the same goals for the company, find reliable educated drivers who are service driven and goal oriented.. My words of course..
At the current moment sitting at Meiijer in WI watching them do there best to throw my day of schedule.. Have one more load to drop then get my turn around load for Kansas City.. -
Very bad morning, arrived with pizza load and they told me that the load was warm.
I set the load at the dock temp when loading and did not see a temp indicated, and the shipper never stated a temp so I left with it at 23 degrees..
The load arrived and had a temp of 32 degrees but the recover wanted it at 0!!
After a short conversation, I asked the diffrents between 32 degrees (freezing) and 0 degrees (freezing)?
Well I asked to be taken back to the dock to inspect the load and they refused to allow me to inspect.. I told them if they where going to refuse the load leave it on the truck, they argued that it was there property and that they wanted.. They signed all the paperwork and did not indicate any issues on the receipts.. This was not an issue until I had been asleep in my truck for about an hour and they brought it to my attention..
They said they had to investigate the load, and that I would probably have to pay for it.. The broker was very nice about it and said they have had this issue in the past. She said she will try to work through this for me.
I guess in the end I might be out $1000 deductible and the pay of the load and the fuel..
Not a good day, but it was nice to have the support of the broker and Bruenger..stormy379 Thanks this. -
I started in reefer ... never signed the BOL unless the temp was on it.itaff Thanks this.

Just curious, how accurate is the $4500/week gross that is advertised on Bruenger's website? I submitted an application and was wondering.
Just to add...I have my own truck that I would be leasing on. 09 KW T660. -
The truck could make that Windy.. As long as you got in 4 short loads or 2 long loads.
My truck has made as much as $6500 in a week, but that sure as heck ain't every week. On Avrage I, me and myself will average about $3,800 to about $4,200 a week.. But again that's me!! I know drivers who do better, and a lot who do not. It depends how hard you want to run?
On avrage I have brought home about $1800 a week over the last 4 weeks after everything is paid, so if you ran comparable to me, then you would have no issue pulling about $2,800 to $3,000 a week take home.. More if you like California and can turn around fast..
Nice thing about Bruenger is with your truck, if it brakes down they will help get u going again. A lot of companies attitudes are its your truck its your problem.. Not so at Bruenger... They now if your not rolling they are not making money...
Hope this helps answer your question!!stormy379 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the reply, this does help out
