I think You can imagine what I think about

Friggen awesome!!!
I started one today, when I was shaving. "I am a trucker man. And I have a trucker's tan..." Not as good as yours. LMAO -
Yes it would.
But insurance carriers have very deep pockets.
I always say it because it can't be said enough. And frankly, I think the very notion casts a large and revolting shadow on our society.
Your last sentence denotes the slippery slope there is and ever will be.Last edited: Aug 31, 2015

The fact that you are driving a commercial vehicle does not change this. You have the right to not have your stuff rummaged through by a government agent unless that government agent has probable cause to believe you are committing a crime. Why would ANYONE willingly give up that (or any other) right? I don't care if you're Mother Theresa or the friggin' Pope...if asked for consent to search, you say "NO".
There is no logical reason to ALLOW a search when you know they are just wasting their (and your) time if you truly "have nothing to hide". Say "NO" and be on your way.
I don't trust badges, either...no telling when you'll run into a crooked cop wanting to make a name for himself and he'll "find" something in your vehicle that wasn't there until he pulled it out of his own pocket...or worse yet, he'll stumble upon the fuel money you've got in the truck (so you can get the "cash" price at the truck stop) and he'll use the asset forfeiture laws to seize it, and then the burden of proof is on YOU to prove that the money was legally earned and not going to be used illegally.
Bottom line, just because a person is wearing a badge issued by the government does NOT necessarily mean they are trustworthy. I grant the same level of trust to an officer as I give to the government under which the officer has received his power...and that ain't much. Are there good cops who are honest and decent human beings? Sure...but those generally won't want to go digging through your stuff for no reason. If a cop is wanting to do that, I have EVERY REASON to be skeptical of his motivations...because if he doesn't have probable cause, he's got no LEGAL reason to perform ANY search...and if he DOES have probable cause, he wouldn't be asking for my consent. -
The company where I drive for, is even better.
At the terminals the have the web connection which the drivers could use for free.
The web connection is blocked until You put in Your driver code and put in a code from Your cell fon which You have to apply for before You get the the connection.
When You look for the wire less signal, a window in lap top pops up with a message like (I do not remember the precise wording)
Dear driver, for safety reasons we have to inspect what You do in Your computer,
I can*t confirm this, but my work mates told me, the websites like plxxboy.com or pexxhouse.com are blocked.
I appreciate that the company where I drive for, does so much for my safety and inspects the computers of the drivers when they use them at the terminal
Of course I understand that this is ONLY for safety, but I really want not to drive this extra safe.Last edited: Aug 31, 2015

I'd be on there trying the name of every porn site I know....just to see if their software is good enough to block them all. I've seen different places have certain stuff blocked when using their wi-fi. Would they fire you, or in some way reprimand you if they did find you looked at or tried to look at them websites.

Companies claim they get a discount on insurance for all of this "safety equipment". With all the "safety equipment" some companies put in their trucks, their insurance should be nearly free. Radars, cameras, lane departure warning systems, blind spot sensors, and on and on. Insurance companies aren't gonna ever give them a big enough discount to cover the cost of all that expensive, unreliable, and un-necessary junk. Here's an idea for the bean counters....take that money you waste, thousands of dollars per year per unit, on installing and maintaining that stuff, and hire better drivers!
kutscher007 Thanks this. -
I don*t know, I do not understand this much about computers.
So the company writes in the pop up window that they have to inspect what the drivers do on their computers.
for an example, when I write these message here in "truckers report" and (for safety reasons only of course) my web connection becomes monitored by the company, this is tooooooooooo safe for me.
And when I write an email to my ladies how the last night was, I do not want the "company safety service" also.
Sure, safety first, but this is really too safe for me.MrEd Thanks this.
