Great company to work for if you want to stay broke and be home on the weekends. The company has great drop n hook loads. But whats the point of having great runs if you arent making any money. The only way you will take home over a $600 dollars a week is to not go home on the weekends. If anyone else tells you different. They are lying.
Riverside transport ( rti) $400-$600 a week)

Welcome to trucking. If the wheels are not turning you are not earning. You can't sit on your couch and still make money. I'm out 5-6 weeks at a time & then take a week off. And I just finished a 3400 mile week today. I've been at RTI a little over 4 months now. Fuel plays a bigger part in your pay than miles do. Which is why I insisted on a Pete out of orientation. Average a little over 7.5 MPG. A lot better than those ProStars and Cascadias.
Another hint: try running some Canadian loads. The additional .04/mi for all loaded miles & the $100 border crossing pay really helps too.snowlauncher, Csnemrod, lee2442 and 3 others Thank this. -
Hi there folks. Ive been offered a l/p wit rti and been mulling it for a week 1/2 now but then these thr re ads make me think l/p is prolly not going to be profigable. So, from reading ghis. Are there pete's available for l/p at rti?

It varies every week. But if they don't have what you want at first they will put you on a list & when one comes available they'll put you in it. I got lucky and got one out of orientation. That extra 1 MPG over what some of my other buddies get in their ProStars makes all the difference in the world. Do the figures on paper & you'll see what I mean.

They have a family dollar dedicated account with company trucks that pays close to what I make with jb if that's close to you see if you can transfer there you will do better than 600 a week for sure .

ChuckK70, how are you able to keep your Pete when I was forced to give mine up!? I was told the Peterbilt's were all being "turned back in"!?
-
Actually, I got out of my 2012 Pete in May, after it was hit by a PAM driver in a truckstop while I was on hometime. I was put in a KW T680 loaner while it was in the bodyshop. But once it got out I pointed out just how bad the APU was belching thick blue smoke and refused to get back in it. I am still in that KW loaner but I'm supposed to be getting into a 2016 Pete as soon as I get to KC again after leaving home later today. And yes, I have noticed a bunch of 2012s getting readied to go back.

Oh ok. It's a shame they turned out to be such a horrible company.
