As long as you and your husband are comfortable with the company, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

I would go with Schneider if they had a flatbed division. My brother is Schneider IC and he does well. He wants me to come aboard but I enjoy flatbed work as crazy as that sounds.

While your looking at the numbers bounce them against this finance calculator from Freightliner.
    A 55k truck, $100 down, 8% sales tax, 18% interest, 60 months, =1500 a month. 1500 x 12/ 52= 346 a week.

To add on to what @CJndaTruck was saying how about this scenario.
3 loads in one area. 3 Celedon trucks in one area. 2 company trucks and your husband. You still with me???
2 of the loads pay $2.00 per mile on 1000 miles and the other one pays $1.50 on a 1000 miles. Take a guess which load your husband gets..... They can care less about your survival. They have a business to run just like you guys. So basically at Celedon you work for them as with mercer you with them. Hope this helps

    MCET and CJndaTruck Thank this.

If either one of you has read the threads on here about Mercer and Celadon, I have to ask....why in the world would a driver with his experiences level go work for Celadon?????

    1. Mercer

    2. Landstar

    3. Packard Transport

    4. Jones Motor

    5. Admiral Merchants

Really, going to work as an O/O for a company that's in court for stealing from it's O/O....I mean, really????

Been at Mercer for 6 years now. Excellent true Owner op company. no company trucks to fight to get freight from. gonna have to run me outta here. I run how I want to and go home when I want to. no questions asked. you run your trucking company how you want to make your own destiny.

ardevine1, rainey05 and CJndaTruck Thank this.
