Search launched for semi-trailer after $10M in silver stolen from Port of Montreal
Surveillance footage shows the truck and container at the port, but driver's face isn't visible
Montreal police are seeking help from the public as they try to solve a brazen daytime theft of a cargo-load of silver worth an estimated $10 million from the city's port.
Const. Anie Lemieux says one or more individuals stole a semi-trailer from the west end of the island on Wednesday, then used it to haul the container full of the precious metal from the port later in the day.

Silver heist mystery continues after empty shipping container found
16 tonnes of silver still missing after Wednesday's brazen theft from Port of Montreal
A shipping container stolen from Montreal's port this week may have been found in Repentigny, Que. — but the $10 million in silver inside of it at the time of the heist is nowhere to be found.
The Maersk container lifted from the port was found on Saturday afternoon on St-Paul Street in Repentigny, a small city just off the northeast tip of the island of Montreal.

Bah da da bing! Nice load...

Having hauled a lot of containers in / out of the PORT OF MONTREAL and knowing the hassles to get cleared to enter / leave something is real fishy that they just drove out and knew the exact chassis / container to grab. So like a lot of previous posters noted have to agree about it being an INSIDE JOB
-
I think it would have to be. So I wonder who just retired, or is about to.

Maybe the DOCK WORKERS UNION retirement fund need an influx of $ to boost it up
