I average 2.43 a mile, with all my deductions of cpm I average 1.17 in my pocket.scythe08, rickybobby and RStewart Thank this.
-
So it's costing you about $1.26 / mile to run the truck. Seems like you could get that much lower.
What's your average length of haul at that rate. -
That aspect right there would seem to argue against being ICs rather than employees for IRS purposes. Would be interesting to see how the courts would view it too.
-
Do you really think SNI and their lawyers are that clueless?
-
Having your own authority comes with more expense ( trailer maint. insurance etc.) But that said for a paid off truck and trailer 1.26 seems awful high
-
When you take in maintenance, ins, fuel taxes and fuel, and bond fees, yes if you want to haul government, it's a requirement, and remember I have 1 mill and 500K liabilty I also have accountant fees and the ever regrettable tolls, that's and average per year.
-
And don't forget the heavy handed IRS.
-
No but they're betting enough of us are.TennMan, Home_on_wheels, scythe08 and 1 other person Thank this.
