Is there any way I myself can program the LCM?

The LCM doesn't have to be programmed as in a software update, the parameters simply have to be changed. It requires Premium Tech Tool, which is the Volvo factory diagnostic software. IT can be done at any dealer for approximately a 1 hour labor charge, or any private shop that has the PTT software and the ability to perform parameter changes.

If you come around the Chicago area, I can hook you up with someone to do the programming.

Are they just the fogs, or the dual setup with driving lights? If so, the parameter for those has to be activated as well, and is usually set up to work along with the high beams.

Along with the lamps, a new headlamp switch with the foglamp position has to be installed, as well as a hood harness if not already equipped. And just so you know, Volvo has the bad habit of crossing the fog and driving lamp wires on the passenger side, so the left fog and driving lamp works properly, but the right side lamps activate the opposite from the left. It's a simple fix, simply remove the terminals from the connector and switch the driving and fog wires in the hood harness.

Let me know if you need any help.

I suggest to run separate wire to the switch in cabin. Hardest part is to run wire inside ( and make it look good or invisible ). Once you done ( relays, switch, fuse) you have full control ... and it's so much cheaper.

What I did on a 670 ex knight truck we had that didn't come with fogs was run the headlights and fog lights together through relays. Although fog lights and headlights always ran together. No extra switches but it did the job.

VCADS is required to turn on the fog parameter and any dealership can do it in 5 minutes.
