If he fails the pre trip or road test, he would have to reapply in a year. If all goes well, they will same day, send him for a drug screen and physical. After that it is just a waiting game. He would be notified either way if he has passed all aspects of the hiring process. They also will conduct background checks after the physical too and since you say he has a clean record, there is nothing to worry about. It takes time to build a class depending on others backgrounds and how long they take. So over all hold on to his current job, it may be about two months or more before you would get a start date.

    Congratulations Matt! She is adorable!!

My DH is about 5 weeks from being able to reapply....longest year of his life, he says! We are hoping Smyrna will open up positions as it has been a few months since we've seen any openings there. If not, we are hoping Pottsville stays open for another 5 weeks. Waiting is killing him!!

I am going to sealy next week for my pre trip and road test and was just wanting to know was it very hard. An after I pass that will the next step be drug screen and physical right? An how was the physical part of it?

It's not hard at all. Just like any other road test. Pre trip is a bit more extensive. You need to be thorough on it. You pass both, they send you for the rest. Physical is standard as well. Good luck to you!

Okay thanks. I'm super excited. I have been watching youtube video on how to do the pre trip the right way. I hope that I pass it. I am very looking forward to be a driver for walmart. I am a 3rd generation driver in my family and no one has never worked for walmart, so hopefully I can become the first and my son our one of 5 daughter will drive for them too.

    drozzer69 Thanks this.

Ive been working for walmart for about 2 months now and everything is going great so far. I got lucky and got on a 6/3 program straight out of orientation. I'm never coming off of it, ever. Three days at home is great.
The very-much-needed extra income has allowed me to purchase a 2015 ford explorer and my wife and kids finally have a reliable vehicle.
I have been working my butt off for 4 years straight without a vacation or any time off trying to be a good provider for my family, and now that we have our own home, a car, health insurance, and the finances are in order I can finally breathe again. What a long road it's been for me.
Four years ago I was a laid-off carpenter with very little hope for my family's future.
    Today I am finally unburdened.
Walmart transportation was the final piece of the puzzle.
Thank you to everyone who replied to my questions and for the plethora of knowledge in this thread; it was an invaluable source of information.
Good luck to everyone who is applying for a position at walmart transportation!
