Thought I would give an update.
Things are going great still, constantly moving, we did have a bit of a lull over Labor Day weekend, my 34 turned into a 48, but got rolling again, now I am heading to Lake Powell for a week on the inlaws houseboat.
Still love working for Pride though.Chinatown Thanks this. -
I feel like you and whitedog. I thought I found what I always wanted with my local job.
Boy was I wrong.Father Luke and Snowshoes Thank this. -
I think that happens more than we like to think about

Things are still going great, still driving and still getting the miles.
I have a friend that is still working at the cement company I tried working for, they have been out of work for the past week.
I think I made the right decision coming back to Pride.Father Luke, crazeydude and Chinatown Thank this. -
Can't say I'm very impressed with Pride. I called them once and the recruiter said 'You'll never get home in our truck.' I live 3hrs east of slc, so I asked if they ever go to Denver or any other place toward the east. 'You won't do it in our truck. We don't go that way.' Same miles, not as much traffic. 'No' Piss on Pride.

Don't know who you talked to, but I beg to differ. I'm sitting in Denver right now on my 10. I come here regularly. But hey, it's your opinion, I won't try and change it. They are treating me great, I'm home regularly, and I live an hour south of salt lake.

He said I couldn't run 40 to denver

What is Pride's trucks like? Do they have APUs with Heat and AC? If not, what's their idle policy? Thanks to anyone who answers.
-
Mostly newer to brand new freightliners and Petes. mine is a 2015 freight. No APU's, 99% have refrigerators. Idle seems to be industry standard over 75° or under, I think 40° not sure tho. My truck has opti idle. If you choose, you can have satellite installed, mine has a nice invertor that the previous driver left behind. I don't have satellite, but I have my own tv, blu-ray and a hard drive with tons of movies
