Stay away from RWI Transportation. My experience with them has been less than professional. Very arrogant, difficult to work for, clueless as to what is going on in the front lines, and do not care about their employees. Concerns and issues have gone on deaf ears and finally had to drive elsewhere.
They have no clue how to run a trucking operation and should stick to their vegetable cleaning/cutting business(Castillenni Company). Very high turn over rate due to lack of positive communication.

I was with their banana division, R&O, as an owner-operator pulling a reefer back in 2007. Was with them for maybe two months - worst months of my life. Felt like I was back in the 80s with the "call us back in an hour" constantly. When you emptied out near Gulfport, usually in Florida, you were placed "in line" for a load once you got to Gulfport - not when you emptied out. The constant "call us back in an hour" was ridiculous and when you asked them to call you when they got something, because of modern technology called a CELLPHONE, they said they could not do that - and call back in an hour - click. Then you may get a load assignment in the afternoon, but couldn't load until the next day. And then you may get out of Gulfport by noon the next day.

The best day of my stay with R&O (aka RWI) is the day I left them and signed on with a real carrier using modern technology!

I'm about to put in an app for their banana 120 division. A driver I know showed me his checks for this past month and none was under $1200 for the week

One of my buddies had his own tractor but used RWI reefers hauling Chiquita bananas. He said it was definatelu good money but the night hours and six days a week caught up to him. They use E-logs

West coast was a nightmare and they refuse detention pay, pick and drop pay, and load lock reimbursement. Ruined us financially.

It's unfortunate. Plenty of good companies are deteriorating left and right
