Vacation pay??

    Ok, hubby just completed 1 year with swift, and i noticed he has vacation pay scheduled for tomorrow for $400. He didn't request for his vacation time be paid out...does that mean he cannot ask for a vacation of 5 days, because even though the amount sucks, he was kinda looking forward to a break.

    He would call his dm, but he doesn't actually know they paid this out yet (i am the one that keeps track of finances) and i was hoping for an answer before i tick him off and tell him that they possibly paid out his vacation rather than allowimg him to use it.

    Vacation pay is payed on your start day with company when you went solo. Its payed even if you take vaction or not. Yes you can request vacation any time thru the year. You just won't get vacation pay until your anniversary rolls around when you started with the company as solo status.

    They go back and average the driver's weekly pay for the past year.
