Honestly, i can't back up what i am about to say because my phone has issues after being dropped repeatedly, but when hubby leaves Swift, we will probably have to take a pay cut. Right now, his gross pay is sitting just under $38000. Which, for a first year Swift driver, it isn't too shabby.

Guess that's how millionaires become billionaires. Off the backs of Swift drivers

I made that as a trash truck driver and home everyday. I lied. I made 38220 a year driving a rear loader. That was a pay increase from before the garbage company.

Ehh, I was hoping you'd say Chicago. I'd give you two companies that you can work at and have very little life. But you'll gross 150,000+ hauling trash. Not first year or first five. But it's possible. Trash business is funny like that. Employers and contracts are literally raping citizens for a service so they have to do something with the monies. Why not pay employees well above

I dont know who said it was a percentage, but that is not correct. You get paid out the Friday after your anniversary date, and you can take your vacation days whenever you want. Ill type this straight from the Swift Driver Handbook regarding the pay amount: (by the way, if you log in to your swiftdrivers.com account, its in the handbook, section 1, page 35)

    Vacation Pay
    1 year of service - 5 days, $400
    2-4 years of service - 10 days, $1,000
5 or more years of service - 15 days, $1,800

Yes, I've been getting $1,000 for 3 years now.

December 8 is my 5th year anniversary.
It'll be nice to have a bigger chunk of change for Christmas presents, because that is what it has always gone for.
I'll be getting a nice Wacom tablet for my middle daughter this year. She is gifted at drawing and it will be so much better than a mouse. My bigger one will just want cash.
My youngest, Lorelei, never wants anything big. I'll just have to force something on her. I guess.
I love that bonus just before Christmas.

To all the naysayers about Swift's vacation pay policy...
    Get stuffed.
I've had plenty of jobs that didn't do anything better, and usually worse.
