Did XPO also buyout Conway Truckload out of Joplin Missouri?
From my understanding, Conway Truckload, which is OTR to all 48 states and Canada, is part of the same company.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

One area of savings they kept mentioning during the conference call was the tech budget. Our current budget was 225 million and it's mostly outsourced. They will bring that in house and integrate it with their current tech.

When Yellow and Roadway merged, it was two companies that did the same job, so all jobs were redundant. In this merger, Con-Way is a supplement to XPO's current service. There will be jobs cut at the top for sure, but some will have to stay on to run the LTL operations.

Where did they hear this, and how will they move freight without them?

If lean is B.S., why do so many fortune 500 companies use it to save money? XPO is a lean company......

IMO, this change will be good. There will be changes. Not all of them will be good, but I think the majority will be good. XPO has 30,000 customers, and over 50% of them have asked for LTL service. That means a ton of extra work and revenue. I like that they have an in house tech center. I can't stand talking to Kevin in Pakistan when we have an issue.

How many of the Fortune 500 companies are trucking companies? None. Lean works in static, controlled situations. Not in a dynamic situation like trucking.
