Isn't vacation pay a paycheck when you don't actually go to work? Why would I want it any other time?
iloveatrucker Thanks this. -
Right. Because even though it isn't much, it would at least cover the cost of insurance. And a small positive check is always better than a negative check. It is basically the company's way of "encouraging" the drivers not to take a vacation or only use small pieces at a time.

No kidding, my vacation pay when I left SNI was paid out, to the tune of 700 after tax

Our vacation pay is 1/52 /40 hours of yours last years wage. My last vacation hourly rate was $38.64 an hour and I'm in Michigan also go look elsewhere for a job that pays you your worth.
Bring from the Midland area he should look to get into tankers to service Dow Chemical or even down to Saginaw with Hemlock Semiconductor.Last edited: Jan 2, 2016

That isn't how Swift pays vacation pay, though.
