In winter conditions ice collects on the radar housing... this will disable the radar and cruise control more than likely. All kinds of debri out there.
izifaddag Thanks this. -
Try covering it with a 4lb hammer a few times.

Do you have the meritor black box with the up and down arrows on the right hand side?

Cruise control will still work with radar disabled or blocked..
-
The collision avoidance is always working, even with cruise control off.. if someone slows extremely fast in front of you, it will slam on your brakes. This is how the system is designed.. the cruise feature is just designed to slow you down to keep a safe distance
-
It's not working as designed as in he's saying it'll do it with no cars in front of him, or far off in the distance. I've seen a few drivers with my company complain about it and they had it calibrated/repaired/replaced and it solved the issue
-
Yep, I do........ -
I've had mine slam on the brakes for mailboxes and barrels while I was in a turn.. also overpasses are a nuisance
