    When they talked about the new toll road here the issue of tags from Mexico came up as the city has no way of collecting red light tickets from Mexican registered cars. The same thing happens with the toll road. If you don't have a transponder tag, it sends the bill to your address.

    The New Mexico DOT ruled several years back that red light cameras could not be installed on state maintained roads. Quite a few cameras had to be removed statewide.

    They made Cedar Rapids take down the speed cameras for some reason....maybe ticketing the wrong car??....but I think those are a good idea in heavy traffic areas full of knuckleheads. I'd rather drive 55 and get there than drive 10 because of an accident every time I go through.
