It has been quite a while since I last posted on here, but I have been with CT since January 1st of this year and have experienced quite a bit since then. We are currently expanding our fleet at a steady pace due to increased interest by new drivers such as yourself. We will be transitioning away from International Pro Star's to Mack's exclusively due to several issues that have arisen. Most carriers are seeing similiar problems due to EPA guidelines and are scrambling to find the best truck brands to suit their own individual needs. I for one am excited that I may be switching to Mack! I have read many posts concerning pay and possible routing one may see as a solo driver..... It will mostly depend on how hard you can run, and how available you make yourself to the company. I typically stay out for 2 to 3 weeks at a time and average around 3100-3200 miles per pay cycle, and receive pay for around 2850-2950 due to the way we are payed. ( zip code to zip code) I chose to stay on the "all in" pay scale at 40cpm. I typically net around $850-900 after taxes, insurance, uniform fee etc. I am quite pleased with the way I have been treated and expect nothing to change in that regard anytime soon. I have delivered to 31 states, including all 5 Burroughs of New York City. Not everyone will see NYC, but I made it known that I am willing to go anywhere. Because I stay out most weekends, I can be routed further from home. After speaking with the CEO last week, it appears that freight is strong right now, and no decline is expected even during the "slow" time that most flatbed companies face each winter. I stay quite busy so I rarely check this site, but I just thought you all should know that if you do choose CT, it may be hard work at times, but it is very rewarding. After all, what in life is easy and rewarding? Nothing lol. God Bless, stay safe, and keep them wheels rolling!!!!

Nothing to be nervous about but I understand I was a little too. Flatbed is not for everyone you must be ready to work we are a different breed. If you want to just drive them you are looking for dry van and reefer. Just come prepared to work and you will do fine.

Yeah I think I would be fine on that aspect just hoping I can get through orientation heard it's a little rough the strength tests and all.

It all depends on what your terminal is. Picked up my tractor on 21 jun and I leave today with a rental car to pick up my intertrashinal in tampa. I'm in NC now. It has been in the int. dealer twice for a total of 28 days. Cant wait to see these new Macks. I do enjoy the work and driving. The games and down time is getting old. Orientation will be easy and hope you get some cooler weather. Stay safe out there.

My terminal would be savannah I live like 8 miles from it. I just graduated from TDI and I was choosing between cypress truck lines and ct. But after everything I looked at and read ct just sounded better the only thing I don't like is that all of their trucks are automatics. I learned to drive a 10 speed in school hopefully I will remember how to shift. Haha

I cant speak on regional but i was short haul.itsucked. ####ty pay crazy hours and work. Im now on adedicated account. No tarping for me anymore. We also get a minimum of 750 a week. Ive gotten off many days around noon. Prob with that is they take advantage. I busted my ### to get up early and husle to get off early. They see how many hours i have so they are sending me to boca raton tonight. So much for spending time at home.
