I'd hate to bring back an older thread but I'm thinking about making the jump to JB and doing the intermodal at least until I figure out where I really want to be but would be living in the greater Atlanta area in the meantime. My biggest question since many have been answered is are the yards public transportation accessible?

How much money are the o/o make at JB intermodal regional, a week? Intermodal is the direction to go for me. [THANX FOR THE TIME]

What you make really depends on you and how hard you want to run. I know that sounds like the same ole same ole, but it can be very different. We have 1 owner operator that only works 3 days a week because that's all he needs. Myself, I bring home between $1500-$1700 a week. I also have .10 a mile going into a maintenance account so you have to factor that in. Some guys work 6 days a week, so they may take home more than that. It also depends on your fuel mileage but I would say that amount is about average.

Jb has best local jobs hands down...you want to work dcs or intermodel and u will make a killing and have lots of time home. I still work for them on dcs account and have done work out of there intermodel accounts too. And quite avfew other dcs accounts. $11-1300 per 5 day week in northeast without breaking a sweat (45-50 hour week) You can easily do $13-1700 with a lil more sweat equity (55-70 hour week). The work is always there and plentiful. Our trucks are governed at 62 but a few here and there do 64-65. Excellent benefits and inexpensive. Oh yeah and home everyday with 2 days off every week. Jb is not what people say on here. Maybe they used to be but used to be isnt now. Good luckoneandonly478 and KingG239 Thank this.
