Filters need cleaned at roughly 225k - 275k depending on use.

When Idle run it up to 1100rpm with the engine fan on.
Keep an eye on any CELs. Especially ones that come and go - may indicate a sensor fault.
In stop and go traffic I disable the dpf and turn it back on once I know I'm going to be at highway speed for an hour or more. They don't like 'incomplete regens'
When your turbo is in a pre-spool leave that motor alone.... it's doing something and it doesn't want to be interrupted.

About once every 10 hours, when idling, (I leave mine on low idle so the engine shuts off if the outside temp drops enough. Sometimes it will shut off, most of the time it won't.) mine likes to do that wind up you're talking about on its own. I just let it do its thing...

About 15-20 minutes it's done. Kinda cool though because my mind/body detects the change in engine status. So it's like my own personal alarm clock. :D

Thanks. Another thing I've noticed is the "Opti-Idle" kinda screws with the ReGen process. Normally I rev the engine when the Opti-Idle sends me an alert in normal operation.

Here's a really simple way of wrapping your mind around when to leave and make your schedule: if you leave early, you allow yourself time for "stuff happens" moments and can still take your time. If you leave "just on time", all it takes is for one little thing to go wrong, whether it's traffic, mechanical issues, whatever, and now even if you hammer down the load is late. One of these things is less stressful than the other.

Sorry. I thought that would be a common thing...

Opti-Idle shuts the truck off after a couple minutes. I guess it's something Prime has installed.

Thanks! That's what I'm learning. From now on I leave when I get the load assignment.

No, it's not just prime. Schneider has it as well, we just call it anti-idle.

Cascadia is the name brand of the newest Freightliners. Columbia (cat eye headlights) came before then before that were the Coranados (squared off fenders).

At least that's what I've picked up, others may correct me.

Everything on a semi is custom even in a fleet no two are alike.
