Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.
-
Yes it is.
Its happened before that some one doesnt get the job for whatever reason, but usually all that stuff has been looked over before the drug test etc.
So hopefully your good. -
Then your good to go bro.
Again congrats. Dont worry about it too much.
As long as your working towards getting the job done your maine goal should be not to wreck the truck.
Your not gonna know everytjing being new and the compamy will know that.
Juat dont rush and end up hurting your record. -
I have every intention of being a bit slow in my driving for awhile. I poked through the yard in 1st on the drive.
I also got the good news that my HME check cleared today as well. -
I know that I am late to this thread but.......
I would start with some smaller companies where you get to meet the owner face to face. The larger cookie cutter companies are looking for "Stepford Wives" that are programmed in accordance with their narrow view on a persons potential. -
Unfortunately thats how the civilian companies are. I understand partly why they do this. Insurance reasons obviously but what they dont realize is that many of us vets who drove on active duty dont need the additional training and they are some how legally discriminating against us. I could understand if it was a person with "scetchy" background in the military but there are many of us who drove with good backgrounds and still cant find a good driving career becuase of the " military not being verifiable". I even have it on my dd214's navy as a BM2 truck driver, and Army 88M30 which is also a trucker. but these companies say sorry not verifiable. its garbage. Now I am looking into becoming an O/O and starting my own company where I will hire any honorably discharged vet who has that on their dd214
-
My problem is that I obtained my CDL while on active duty and kept it and still the civies are saying not verifiable and I drove for 2 years here in the U.S.
-
DSW Trucking in Phoenix might hire you.
My son got his CDL a few days before getting out of the Navy SeaBee's and went right to work pulling reefers coast to coast hauling seafood out of Florida and produce back from California. He was networking for jobs before he was discharged. I don't remember the name of the company, but it was a small outfit with just a few trucks. He only did that a few months then switched to hazmat/tankers.Last edited: Sep 15, 2015
