Talked to a guy that had a similar problem. Turned out it was the software in the truck after two weeks in the shop.
If you went through paccar for the tow shouldn't be a bill.mickimause and TennMan Thank this. -
Yes. He will get charged for towing. It's not covered under the warranty. Tow coverage is extra which we do not have.
TennMan Thanks this. -
Keep us up to date. Hoping the best possible. I swear these trucks are over designed. The more they design in, the less reliable the overall truck becomes.
Our society today is way over complicating things which is killing efficiency.mickimause, RStewart, drvrtech77 and 2 others Thank this. -
$400 relay when your truck breaks down..
On top of all the other bills you will have...
Way to kick a man while he's down Schneider...TennMan Thanks this. -
Is the $400 relay a flat rate or is the relay cost set by distance/ time etc ?
And would you get the % of the $400 if you picked up the relay ?TennMan Thanks this. -
Sorry to hear your broken down brother.
Hopefully it will be a quick fix.
Tow bill SHOULD be covered if it's a warranty issue..I'm sure TennMan will keep us in the know.Last edited: Sep 17, 2015
TennMan Thanks this. -
The relay fee applies if a company truck is sent to recover the load. If an IC takes it no fee and the IC gets what ever % is left on the load.TennMan Thanks this.

I've had a few ICs with KWs tell me the opposite. Tow coverage for warranty work is pretty much standard and I doubt all these fleets would be buying KW without it.TennMan Thanks this.

OK. My experience was with a Freightliner. I guessed they would all be the same.
TennMan Thanks this.
