SiriusXM Onyx Plus.

I've had the Onyx plus for close to a year. Its only the third xm receiver I've had in the ten plus years I've enjoyed XM radio. I started with the Roady and quickly upgraded to the Delphi MyFi It worked so well that I used it for nearly eight years until it finally gave up. The day after it quit I pulled into a Best Buy in El Centro and bought my Onyx. I like the easy to read display and the rewind feature.

 

My onyx plus started having antenna problems about a week after buying it so eventually I might have to take it apart and hardwire the antenna because it's going to be a problem if I have to keep messing with it while I'm driving down the road.

 

Putting it on the windshield definitely helps. I've used the PLUS for about two years, on the windshield, no problems. Since I only work part time, I bought the home docking station and run it through the Boise, works great where ever I hook it up.

 

The truckers radio sucks. I was looking forward to it and listened to it for a couple of weeks. Half the shows are talking about topics that the probably thought up on their drive in to work. Seems like they put little effort in to make it engaging. Freewheeling and Jonesy for example. And now they have coast to coast am overnight so that all we been getting for 30 years. Dumb alien stories. I gave up.

 

LOL,, They talk about anything but trucking most of the time. And its soooo Bad ! Cant even bare to listen.
