The things you want to know about a truck are things like the engine model and serial number, transmission model, rear ends...etc. With the vin number, any dealer can tell you everything. There might be 2 or 3 types of the same engine, and one of them might be beefed up for big power potentials, and another might be prone to breaking cranks.
There was someone who recently posted about finding out that his truck was not 550HP. If you look around, you will notice that you don't see 550hp motor matches to a 10 speed. Only 13s and 18 with 1850 torque. For 600hp and better, 18s only. Why is that important? Bigger hp trucks have bigger rads, stronger clutches...etc. There are certain loads that i would want a beefier truck for.
A tanker for example. I wouldn't buy the same truck to pull lightweight dry van freight that i would to be a tanker yanker. I would want a stronger truck

Ya i know of a trucking company here in Wisconsin That still runs mack cabovers i know at one point he was selling some his whole fleet was cabovers so that's my starting point for that
-
If you default on your truck they can still after all you own. Including the house?
-
If you have a relationship with your local dealer, and it's a newer truck, you can sweet talk them into running the VIN for you, too. It'll give you the lowdown on all the warranty work done. Smiles and doughnuts go a long ways.
-
If you look at the truck paper online, there's lots of newer cabovers. Only trouble is they're in Australia or Europe.
-
Yes they can.

Even if u got an llc

You would need to file as an S Corporation to protect your personal assets, but if you put your house up for collateral against a defaulted loan, they can seize it either way.dog-c Thanks this.

Ya I dont own a house so that's not a option for me and i do plan to get an llc to protect my personal assets

My thought. How much money can you make driving for someone at this point? How much would you make driving for yourself? Have you talked to Recruiters and know what you need to sign on and how much you would make? Does the extra money justify the risk?
