Some should be careful what they wish for.
A wise man once made the statement, "cut off your nose to spite your face." It seems apt here.

This has been an interesting thread to read... plenty of other messages strewn all over the site about how drivers are having to endure harsh conditions, sleep with out idling or APUs, put up with thieves, getting no sleep, be railroaded into getting sleep labs, do stuff for free, endure being spied on and treated like babies, wait for the crew at the dock who all just went to lunch and left you there, making the same money that you made 30 years ago.... etc.
Now it's all "hold up that flag of that giant corporation, that isn't hurting a bit for profits, WE want to keep it that way, and you all are whiners. "
I'm interested to see how it all plays out, (and I realize diff. companies treat drivers differently), but I hope that drivers keep fighting to get their respect back. It's well earned! Respect to all you drivers!crazeydude Thanks this. -
A driver making $9/hour (CA min wage) working 5.5 days/week for 24 hours/day and 48 weeks a year would make $77,000 including overtime. How can a driver making over $80K claim in good conscience to be paid less than minimum wage?

108 hours of work per week?

That's what I get for doing math in my head. If somebody making 80k per year is complaining about money, I'd kick him or her in the nuts. I don't give a ####.
