Quit Crst

Many companies will hire you. A few honor each others contracts, but those you probably don't want to work for anyway. One driver already posted his buddy did the same with CRST and then TransAm hired him; so there's a start. Where is your location; city/state?

 

I survived a company 10 x worse than crst. Their csa score was 99%. Thats right, the worst of the worst. There were a thousand times i wanted to quit and i sucked it up, then some dripped back out of my body and i sucked that up too.

I have no sympathy for sob stories like this. None. Zero.

Only the strong survive out here.

the problem, as best as i view it, is one of high hopes and entitlement. many of these newbies get into trucking, knowing FULL WELL the hardships many of us outline. they have lived a life on easy street, at mom and dad's house, or in a single person's apartment, thinking all is wrong with the world they once lived in, and want a better life, and more entitlements.

many times they read the boards and various websites about trucking and think it's an easy job to do, to get into and to make fast, BIG cash in short time, with little or no sacrifice on thier part, since living at home or alone, was sacrifice enough to many of them.

and working a low wage job, or a job in a cubicle, or a boss that is an arse, and they think right away..."i always wanted to drive", "i always liked driving", "i can drive all day long", yada, yada, yada.

put them in a structured environment, such as a training phase, and in a truck, with another person, telling them what to do, when to do it, and HOW to do it, and they think thier personal space has been violated to the 9th degree.

the entitlement they think they are owed, fails to show it's rose colored speeches from others, they so un-thoughtfully listened to, as the words, "money, time off, and easy work" catch phrases are what they want to hear, and nothing else.

i too feel no sympathy towards those that cry a river of crocodile tears.

it's a JOB....pure, plain and SIMPLE. a plumber MUST do his/her time as an apprentice to become fully licensed.

an electrician the same.

not even a newbie rookie cop is set off on his own, till he is as fully trained as possible to do the job, and he/she too MUST put up with a whole lot MORE BS on the streets and from superiors than a trucker.

in the end, there will always be those that think the world MUST BE delivered to them on a silver platter, nothing else will do.

and if they DON'T get what they were told they would ASAP, they put thier tails between thier legs and cry, and biotch, on how the industry treated them.

frankly as someone else said in another post, only the strong survive.....

Ha! Whats to be angry about? Mon-fri, sat and sun off (optional overtime if i want it). Time and a half after 8 hrs, home every night. Life is good. Glory goes to God but make no mistake, i made sacrifices and earned where i am at.

 

I remember how tough of a time you had with your last company and pretty much had to stay there because of your mvr or something of that sort.Glad you're happy where you're at.

 

No. The OP's experience clearly DID suck, he said as much. So my post was tailored for his specific situation.

I said nothing about other fellow truckers who had an easier time (most likely due to smarter lifestyle choices earlier in life).

 

What happened was patty is i wasnt seeing my daughter all too often so she told me to quit trucking and do something else where im home. Im obviously not going to take the advice of an 8 year old and quit a good career. So what i did is i cried out to GOD and told Him i need a job where i am home every night and off on the weekends so i can see my daughter on the weekends, take her to church on sunday and worship Him on sundays.

He delivered. God is good.
