And NO, I don't have a accent :biggrin_2559: Now to the solution of your problem.
You said you are having many problems? What are the problems your having? Did these problems occur before or after the spill? As biker said, Removing the keyboard and dismantling it is a solution. It tedious work and I personally would toss the keyboard out. I would look for one on ebay or go to a local puter shop. See if they have any salvage laptop for parts. As far as reloading the OS. Thats a 50/50 chance your taking. It depends if the liquid got down on your motherboard. At this point. You should be happy the thing still works.
Before you try to reload the software. I would first remove the keyboard from it and see if you still have the problems with it. If this clears up some of your errors. Only then I would reload the software. If this is what you want to do. That bad keyboard is sending a bunch of junk signals and replacing/removing it could fix alot of your problems.

    Baack Thanks this.

**barf** OK... Need to do a couple of things.

1.. Download AVG.. It's free and one of the better antivirus programs out there.
2.. Download Windows Defender.. Again, it's free. Amazingly, it's one of the better malware programs out there.

Install and update both programs, then do a complete scan of your notebook. I suspect you have a lot of malware/spyware that's slowing your system down.

Have you tried updating COD4? I have included the link to COD4 updates. This is a activison file corruption, not a dell error. Activison tech support should have helped you.

Yech! That's an issue with the DHCP server. Couple of things you can do before connecting up to the poker site.. Open a command prompt (click Start, Run, and type CMD, then press enter). At the prompt, type: ipconfig /release and then type: ipconfig /renew

This releases your existing IP address and hopefully will issue a new one to your machine. If that doesn't work, you'll need to contact AT&T support and have them issue a ticket for the network folks. You shouldn't be pulling the same IP as another individual.

cool, i'll try it. it has happened twice both times while playing a poker tourney. i figured that maybe at moments when idle, the network gave away my IP to someone else with att. or someone was wi-fi'ing off my card lol:biggrin_2559:

Impossible to connect off your card.. Just can't be done, unless you're running the card in a wireless router. But then, the router would be handling the IP address and not AT&T.

As for being idle, it's possible. Use this software to keep your connection active for those times when you step away from the computer..
