that sounds pretty cool, have to check it out. how much space/ram does it take up? the inactivity period is usually (i would assume) less than 1 min.

Less than one minute shouldn't make a difference. Although we weren't told what the idle disconnect time was, we suspected it was around 15 minutes.

What type aircard is it? Some of the cards have updates available from the manufacturer.

Lemme check to see if I can find a tech sheet that shows how to remove the keyboard on those. If you have the patience for it, it can be done, but you really may wish to start looking for a bargain on ebay or even the refurbished list on Dell's website. Can pick up some bargains there on really good notebooks.

Check this link and see if it matches your notebook. They show how to remove the keyboard.

Don't know if there's an update for that or not. Lemme fire off an email to one of my old co-workers and get the update link from 'em.

Assuming you gave me the correct model http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00701888.pdf

That is the link for your system. You can pretty much disassemble the whole thing, if you want. I'm also including a link with some other maintenance things and warranty. Which I would look into if I were you. Heck, they might replace the keyboard for you. Thats if you don't mind spending 5hrs and speak another language on the phone.

I have AVG 8 security system. How do I delete history from Yahoo on the toolbar or get rid of the AVG toolbar altogether?

    Thanks in advance.
