I went to Roadmaster. Ate a lot of free Werner pizza, never considered working for them. :D

SNI isn't a bad company (I speak from experience) however the WM accounts don't pay much and usually do not have a sign on bonus. Consider tanker (terminal in Coraopolis PA)

I went to Roadmaster, the Columbus, Oh. school. Yes they have a contract with Werner but in no way do you have to take it. Very good school. In and out of there in 3 weeks. With certifc in hand.

Yes i realize i didn't have to take it, but if i didn't take it they informed me i would be their atleast 6 weeks. I was setup and the money to get me 4 maybe 5 weeks, I simply could not afford to be their for 6 weeks and least 2 weeks at a company without being paid, plus the cost of living in a hotel for that 6 weeks. I would have done the externship if i coulda been done in 3 to 4 weeks

Days out with Home time? Looking at the website seeing pay and benefits but either missed the home time or looked in wrong place

The regional/dedicated accounts are generally 5-6 days out and 34-48 hours off.

Otr is 1 day off per 7 days out with a two week minimum to request home. They have 7 days to get you home, so it's effectively 3 weeks out+ tho you could get home faster.

I am a trainer at roadmaster in pa. yes they did change it from 160 to 220. they did that for a reason. if you did a 160 then you would have to finish the remainder of the 220 a whatever company you went to in order to get your certificate. now it is 220 at the school. which will allow you to get your certificate right away. it is federal law that every new driver must have at least 220 hrs of training. by doing that you are NOT obligated to go to any of there company's. you can take a prehire or go on your own. We have a very good training program. the only people that go a way unhappy are the won's that just cant pass. the school has only been in pa for 1 year. our success rate is getting better every day. and now we do our own road testing. the average driving time on the raod right now is 45 mins with 4 student in the truck and 1hr with three students. and as far as 80% of the students go to werner is BS.
