Fontana OC for now. Still have 6 hours on the 14 and counting down. Picked up a loaded P&G that I'm supposed to be relaying at the French Camp OC tonight for an 0800 appointment in San Francisco tomorrow morning. The load was loaded into a trailer that was dropped at P&G as an empty yesterday. DVIR on it shows good condition... Yet the PM expired last month and the trailer has been placed OOS... Fontana shop can't get to it until sometime tomorrow. Had to fuel here so needed to come by regardless. 1.5 hours later I finally get to drop it here and reset my NAT.

Yeah, I just finished my 2nd week with this LTL company. One thing I do have to say is these LTL drivers are arrogant as all hell. They think OTR drivers can't drive in the city and that they can't back worth a ####. Yeah right, backing 48 and 53 foot trailers with a day cab is so difficult. I guess none of them have ever had to deal with 53 foot conventional tractors at northeast truckstops. Personally, I think these city drivers don't know what real trucking is all about.
Add in the fact that they have me in a 2003 International 9100i thats bolted straight to the frame rail without any air ride cab. After the past 1 week of that my body got beat the hell out of like I was in a UFC octagon, way more abuse than 4+ years of OTR work in an air ride cab. Job has paid good and I'm home every night, but I have been missing the road life. Might be applying on with a long haul refer company eventually.
And regarding to the complaints about Schneider's equipment, I find these complaints humorous considering the fact that I've seen more 15+ year old junk equipment at this company than I ever saw at Schneider. I guess being local and the fact that I haven't even had to deal with DOT ever allows them to be more lax on their equipmentLast edited: Oct 5, 2015
