I have the CoPilot App on my iPad and will be adding it to my iPhone once I upgrade to the 6S Plus... (No room on the current 4S)

Not impressed with the UI for POI but finding other apps for that short coming.

Looking at the iPad mini for use on dash ... I think the 7.9" would be the right size for that but will wait until I see how the bigger iPhone would look/work on the dash or visor.

I've been attempting the split screen on the iPad mini 4 with copilot and myradar app, it doesn't appear at this time that either of those apps can use the split screen option at the same time with each other.

Yeah, it might take a while for the copilot to get updated to use split screen feature. I would love running Copilot and Google maps at the same time instead of using two devices

    MichiganOutLaw Thanks this.

If the good folks at copilot are reading this, we are patiently waiting :)

i'm sure it'll be a feature to be soon coming.

one person comes out with something. everyone else ALWAYS follows suit. it's just of matter of creating without patent lawsuits from the original inventor.

I'd also wish there was a way to shut the copilot voice off for that TRAFFIC ALERT REPORTED. i don't mind the boonies but in the heavily populated cities. it gets pretty annoying. i just want to see the colors. i don't care for the voice.

Not thrilled with the map UI either... A simple pinch to zoom doesn't seem to work... Must push the + or - buttons ... Not making use of the Apple features... Looks like a direct port of other versions like the basic one on QualComm.

What is myradar? I might need to look it up and see what it does.

I have been using an app called Truckers Path for POIs... Seems like it has good filter options and focused on trucking related places.

Ok, thanks... That just makes too much sense... lol

I use a similar app but the software developer has opted to release another very similar app (read another $3) instead of update the old version... So I might be jumping ship.

Always good to have a backup app for important stuff.

Found a band aid for the POI issue (still having a hard time getting to useful information about stuff coming up on my route like Rest Areas, Truck Stops, etc... maybe I am doing something wrong.

So anyway, another Driver told me about Truckers Path and it's a mapping App with AWESOME POI access and an awesome user interface... They are working on adding Trucker Routes but it's totally free and does everything I want.

So I am currently running CoPilot for Truck Specific Routing and then running Truckers Path in the background. When I need to find a Pilot/Flying J or Rest Area (or even just a Walmart) I just swipe the iPad screen and pop between the two. If I need to see my specific route, CoPilot, if searching for a place to park for the night, Truckers Path... I could easily see another App like a Weather App being a part of this even if it wasn't side by side... Which is going to be nice but I need to upgrade my iToys for that feature.

Now we just need CoPilot and Truckers Path to merge...

CoPilot for the awesome Trucking maps and Truckers Path for the User Interface and POI data... Win/Win
