    There were a few reasons:

I was a third party recruiter for a little while, while I was in college. So, I did my research on companies and even went to truck stops and was the creeper that sat in the restaurants talking to truckers about their companies.

Everyone has an opinion and everyone's experience is different with whatever company they are driving for. Almost everyone that I talked to at West had positive things to say about the company. There were a few that were not happy, and trust me, I took the bad info with the good.

The thing that impressed me the most with the recruiter there is the fact that she invited me to their yard in Ashland City to check out things and sit down with me face to face. We talked about a lot of things and she told me about the water heaters. I'm cool with the water heaters. I will just pretend that I am at the gym. A little strenuous physical activity is a good thing.

Unlike other companies, I wasn't pressured to jump on board with them as soon as she was done talking. I told her that I was going to think about it and weigh out all of my options.

It's a starting point being in the driver's seat as opposed to being on the recruiting side. It is a small company, and I really liked the feeling of being there. I didn't feel like I was being lied to while I was there. She wrote down everything that we talked about.

Basically... After looking at other companies, I just feel that this was the best choice for me personally.

I hope they do as well if that is where you wanna be. If things don't follow through there, I have contacts in the recruiting world and can put you in touch with people that won't jerk you around.

You have a more direct connection with everybody being it's a smaller company, that's for sure.
Biggest downside is the pay but once you get experience better paying jobs become available.
    Good luck!
