Too bad it's off the road. I'd like to burn down the whole NJTPK
dog-c Thanks this. -
I kinda like NJTPK. It moves pretty well whenever I'm on it and they tend to get accidents cleared up fast, as opposed to 85/285 in ATL or any of the Dallas arteries. EZPass is a nice thing, too.
Longarm and Canned Spam Thank this. -
Driver. Put down the crack pipe. Are you nuts? Can you even begin to imagine what traveling in/out of Jeresy would be like if the NJTpK was not available between I-80 and I-287? The tolls suck, but the alternative is much worse.Longarm, dog-c and Canned Spam Thank this.

I passed this on my way home from school. Everything is a parking lot. My wife just drove by it and said they just put the fire out. Apparently they brought out a foam truck from the airport. Northbound lanes are still closed.

I can't emphasize enough how crucial pre trips are.....everyday when I go to my yard I watch other drivers starting their day and they never do pretrips.
its unknown as to why the tanker went out of control but this is why I can't fathom why some of you that drive gasoline tankers seem.....ok....driving 70-75mph loadedLast edited: Oct 8, 2015

And it also looks like the tanker driver had very little following distance to the black Honda in front. Just an observation

Just tragic. A driver dies because of mattress es on the roadway. What a waste. I just love seeing the fronts of mattresses almost touching the backs in a "C" shape flapping about on the roof rack with one bungee cord in the middle.
My wife took a video as she creeped by. We were wondering what was with the mattresses. I never put two and two together until the news updated the report.
Here is the update.

Reason for edit: Factual correction/add linkdog-c Thanks this. -
"The driver was unable to maintain directional control of the vehicle while attempting to avoid slowing traffic."
Slosh. A hard brake plus a swerve and correction would throw your fluid into the front swale of the tank toward the outside of the curve (upon correcting). Even baffled, that'll mess with you. No pretrip will stop that. That's driving and fluid.
Side to side slosh -
