Hey I'm suppose to come aboard conway on the 19th. Trying to see if I made the right move or not seeing that Xpo just bought them out any feedback would be nice

Which Con-way are you inquiring about? Freight or Truckload? I don't think anyone here could have a solid answer for you about the future with XPO, that's up in the air as far as changes...

From what it sounds like on other threads as of now no changes... Search the threads and you should find more information... There is a thread on here somewhere that I posted a link to a article, with the talks of XPO possibly selling the Truckload side...

I believe XPO bought the Conway Corporation complete. We'll see what happens in the next few months. It's all about profit for corporations.

XPO takes over on Wednesday (10/14).... a lot of terminals are having "farewell" cook outs to CCX/CWE/CSE and Con-way Freight........it's actually a sad time for a lot of drivers, there is a lot of tenure at freight and these guys have never seen anything else. More than sad, it's scary and oddly exciting about the future........

as for Truckload......those trucks barley haul any of our sub-service stuff anyway.....mostly we see them when they want fuel at one of or barns.........the Wall Street Journal is reporting that there have been 3-4 offers to XPO for Truckload, (XPO CEO) still hasn't decided what he's doing, but it's been made clear he didn't want Truckload, it was just apart of the deal......it was about Menlo and Freight, mostly Menlo, he wants the network and capacity that Freight offers.....

I'm Conway truckload now and every driver I talk to including ltl have same consensus we are looking for another job. A newsletter came out again caz xpo May sell the truckload portion. All they wanted was the ltl. According to xpo if the price is right they will sell truckload side. I been here since April. I'm looking into other options as well as other drivers just because of the unknown. This is the talk of the yards. And when more than 1 is at customer. I was in Waverly ne Fri there was 25 of us waiting for a load. At least 10 or more is nervous. Conway is telling us we will not be affected. But we don't believe them. Just remember companies don't have no loyalty but to themselves. U the driver have to look out for yourself.
