You put up with that much crap and still want to drive? WOW! I would have snapped on them lol got the patience for sure good luck.As others have said plenty of other companies that have actual training.Dam that didn't take that abuse in boot camp lol

I love driving, used to haul boats for 15yrs before my father passed away. Yes, smaller 18ft boats up to 34ft. But, I still got exp on how a pivot works. So backing was not a problem at all for me in the big rigs with a 53ft trailer. I thought backing to be a lot of fun and challenging.
Yes, I want to drive. I love the rigs and the feel, more like a taste of freedom.
So, yes it hurts when you want to use SMITH system, and drive safely for your own safety as well as other motorist and your told the SMITH system does not play in REAL trucking.
I also have patience from working with special needs for the past 17yrs as a physical and occupational therapist.
I just want to drive and enjoy the life as I have 2 uncles that are owner operators (The companies they work for require at least 2yrs exp. which I dont have yet) But, it really seems so many want to make it harder than it really is. Follow laws and rules, its that simple. It's why they are there, to be followed for your and others safety.reefer75 Thanks this. -
I would not call it an easy job or a hard job just a job with freedom.Just keep looking you will find something for sure I know the company I work for takes school grads I guess we have some good trainers to just slow trucks.
Interstellar Thanks this. -
Trucking is a good job IF it's a good fit for you. It's certainly been good to me.
It sounds like a good fit for him, and he is to be commended for not allowing two so-called "trainers" to him off.Interstellar Thanks this. -
I used to haul boats; Procraft from the factory in Murfreesboro, TN. That was my second trucking job with 3 mos. experience.
Howard Transportation might hire you; they have a terminal in WV. They are a private carrier for Howard Industries.
