Have you driven a truck in downtown?

Doesn't matter where you are, downtown is downtown. Still isn't a place for a truck.

You know what...I made that mistake last year. Was running blades out of Santa Teresa,NM. Had a pilot car run me to a walmart downtown El Paso. I didn't know! No one ever told me. It was like the Vegas strip, Black Friday and a hurricane evacuation all at once. Almost had to wonder if it was the last walmart on earth sale. But certain parts of El Paso are like that every day of the week.

    Oh yes

Many staple items are cheaper on our side of the border so they get a ton of Mexican customers. Plus if they fill out the paperwork, they get the sales tax refunded on taxable goods.

I'm glad I don't have to do much in town work anymore.

I pretty much view any downtown as truck unfriendly regardless of location.

If you are ever in the same situation, go to the Walmart off exit 37 in Horizon City. It's up the road to the north. Much calmer and less crowded.

The Walmart near my apartment has dedicated truck spots but is also one of the busiest in the nation.

I think if your gonna be going through a city street NY isn't so bad, it could be worse. Chicago drivers aren't as good as NY drivers and CA drivers are just plain Stupid.

Apparently you haven't been to NYC ....it is 1000 times worse than El Paso...my wife is from El Paso...granted people can't drive there ..lots of Mexicans as well ...but NYC is much more congested, complex and harder to navigate.

Sorry, hoss. I've been to NYC, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens. Even been to Times Square. Apparently, you must be disappointed.
